With Half Term fast approaching we turn our attention to keeping the kids happy. We thought we’d help you out by pulling together a few recommendations on what do with the kids during the holidays.
Visit your local National Park – many of the National Park’s around the country have events going on over February half term. From nature trails to murder mysteries, you will find something to keep their minds ticking. You can find out exactly what’s going on in your area by visiting their site.
A trip to the cinema – more often than not February can serve up some pretty rubbish days weather wise, so it’s always wise to have a back up plan for when being outside just isn’t an option. The Odeon are doing a kids promotion where tickets will be at the low price of £2.50. This is great value for large families and means you can keep them entertained for a few hours.
Go Ape – if your kids of lots of energy to burn, taking them along to Go Ape venue could be your answer. They can experience tree-to-tree climbing as well as the zip wire the the finish line. This is something they’ll be telling all their friends about when they go back to school.
Need a stay at home option? – a great way to have fun with the kids and teach them something at the same time is, baking. There are a whole world of recipes on Pinterest for you to try out. Our particular favourites are frozen yoghurt banana bites, cheese and vegetable muffins and the age old favourite chocolate crispy cakes.
We hope you have found something to keep your little ones busy over the school holidays. Please head over to our Facebook and Twitter to share pictures of your half-term adventures.
