Smoothie bowls are the new (and totally Instagrammable) way to get your five a day.
After the excess of December (hello, daily cheeseboards), we’re in real need of some fruit and veg. Luckily, smoothie bowls are the newest foodie trend – they’re super healthy, quick and easy to whip up and totally Instagrammable, too. Here are our three favourite recipes…
1 sliced banana
½ cup blueberries
⅓ cup almond milk
1-2 handfuls spinach
1-2 handfuls kale
1 tsp Spirulina (optional)
Whiz all the ingredients together in a blender until smooth. Sprinkle over the toppings of your choice and enjoy!
Chocolate Hazelnut Smoothie (because we’re still not quite ready to give up the treats…)
2 frozen bananas
¼ cup hazelnuts, soaked for 30 minutes
2 tbsp hemp protein
2 tbsp raw cacao powder
¾ cup almond milk
3-4 large medjool dates, pitted
1 small banana
Pop everything into your blender, blend until smooth then add your toppings.
2 cups blueberries
1 cup almond milk
1 ½ cup oats, soaked overnight
1 tsp vanilla extract
maple syrup or raw honey
You get the idea by now – blend, blend, blend and enjoy!
