Half term is upon us and we’ve thought up a few ways you can keep your little ones busy!
Cinema for those rainy days or a treat! Most big cinema chains do cheap deals such as:
Vue: £1.75 per child and per adult
Odeon: £2.50 per child and accompanying adults go free!
Cineworld: £1.50 per child and per adult
Selected films and times only – check websites for details.
Get outdoors and try a new park – free for all ages. Pull on those wellies and get outside!
If the weather is really bad you could get the board games out, a great way to keep their brain active!
Baking – There are plenty of kid friendly recipes online that only need a little help from adults. As it is Shrove Tuesday during half term you could try this Jamie Oliver recipe.
Look out for free events your local council are running – your child should bring home a leaflet from school with all the information you need!
Look for free museums the kids will enjoy, such as National Media Museum. There’s lots going on here over half term including a showing of the new Shaun the Sheep film. Royal Armouries museum in Leeds is a big hit as well. There are a whole wealth of museums to visit in the UK.
If you are wanting to wear your kids out, take them swimming. Great exercise but also amazing fun!
Local Sports halls are a great place to take the kids – many of them run classes in half term too! Football courts would be a big hit with sporty girls and boys.
Arts and crafts – turn your dining room table into a crafting station. Maybe you could make some cards for upcoming birthdays.
Xscape in Castleford and Milton Keynes have lots of activities from crazy golf, snow boarding, sledging, skiing, cinema, bowling, laser zone, soft play area, trampoline park and even a 6D experience.
