British Summer 2014 has the potential to be the best yet! So the weather will probably let us down, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have a good time. We’re going to give you 5 things to do this summer.
Tour de France (5th July – 7th July)
The Grand Départ is taking place in Yorkshire, before travelling down the country to London. Why don’t you try to catch the Tour de France for one for the days? These kinds of things rarely happen outside London, so don’t miss it!
Commonwealth Games (23rd July – 3rd August)
The list might seem a little sport-heavy so far, but that’s because of the huge sporting events happening in Britain this summer! The Commonwealth Games are on these shores again when it takes place in Glasgow. With the Olympic fever still hanging around, the Commonwealth Games will be a must for many sport fans!
Be a tourist in your own city

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Release Date 8th August)
Whether you like it or not, Michael Bay’s TMNT is going to be the blockbuster that ignites the cinemas this summer. 90’s kids will be salivating at the return of our crime-fighting turtles, while the younger generation will want to go and watch, keen to jump on the bandwagon. Take the family to watch this summer hit!
This is an old favourite; you can’t go wrong with a family beach day. Plan ahead, and pick a day when the sun is shining. Just because it’s Britain doesn’t mean that the sun isn’t strong, so remember to pack your sun cream so you don’t burn.
